**Relaxation:** The gentle techniques used in Indian head massage may promote relaxation, reducing stress and anxiety levels, which can be particularly beneficial for individuals with special needs who may experience heightened sensory responses or anxiety.

**Sensory Stimulation:** The massage may provide sensory input, potentially aiding in sensory integration for individuals with sensory processing difficulties often present in various special needs conditions.

**Improved Sleep:** By inducing relaxation and reducing stress, Indian head massage might contribute to better sleep patterns, which can be challenging for individuals with certain special needs.

Thai foot massage

Traditional thai foot massage

This massage is done fully clothed, either seated or lying in a comfortable recliner chair.

The massage encorperates the feet, ankles, lower legs & knees.

The massage is done using the hands & also using a wooden stick to work on the accupressure points on the feet.

This massage can be adapted to the preference of each individual client.

Benefits of this massage

Thai foot massage has been associated with reducing stress by triggering relaxation responses in the body. Through targeted pressure on specific points, it encourages the

release of endorphins, promoting relaxation and easing tension. Additionally, it may

lower cortisol levels, the hormone associated with stress. This combination may help to alleviate stress and its physiological effects, fostering a calmer state of mind.

A Thai foot massage involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, believed to correspond to various organs and systems in the body. It combines elements of reflexology, stretching, and massage techniques to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and alleviate tension throughout the body.

Reiki

Reiki is a form of alternative therapy that involves the transfer of energy through the practitioner's palms to encourage healing. It's based on the idea that a "life force energy" flows through us, and Reiki aims to enhance this flow to promote relaxation and healing.

In Reiki, practitioners often focus on chakras, which are believed to be energy centers in the body. The practice involves channeling Reiki energy to these chakras to help balance and align them, aiming to improve physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Each chakra is associated with different aspects of life and emotions, and Reiki aims to ensure their harmonious functioning.
